Silage net replacement film can be used to preserve the corn straw that remains green or partially green after autumn harvest for a long time, which can well preserve its nutrients, soften its texture, have fragrance, enhance the appetite of cattle and sheep, and solve the shortage of forage in winter and spring.
Silage raw materials preserved by silage net replacement film should have the following requirements:
(1) Appropriate amount of carbohydrates: the sugar content of silage raw materials should not be less than 1.0~1.5%. When silage with green bean straw containing more protein and less carbohydrates is used, 5~10% carbohydrate rich feed must be added to ensure the quality of silage.
(2) Suitable moisture: generally, the moisture content of silage raw materials should be 65~75%, and it is not suitable to silage when the raw materials are coarse and old. If you want to silage, you must add water to increase the moisture content to 78~82%.
(3) Suitable length: the length of raw materials is generally 3~5 cm.
2. Silage method when preserved by silage net replacement film
(1) Cut short: according to the difference of raw materials, it is appropriate to cut short at 2~10 cm.
(2) Loading: the loading speed should be fast. Before loading, the bottom of the cellar should be paved with appropriate thickness of crushed grass, and the same is true after loading.
(3) Compaction: compaction is an important part to ensure the quality of silage.
(4) Sealing and burying: after the pit is filled and compacted, the crushed grass is covered with plastic cloth, and then * is used for filling and compaction.
